These soundtracks have become such a major part of the sports video games that the game just wouldn't be the same without it. You'll be blown away by the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack - they've spanned the decades with these selections. If that ain't enough to sell you on PS3 Madden 10, maybe a history lesson will help. Yeah, it may be a little much to rave about a current day game at the expense of the earliest football video games. Once you've given the older football video games the once-over, you can grasp why people are drooling over PS3 Madden 10. At the dawn of video game consoles, one of the top requests from every hardcore gamer was a football video game for their system, naturally. Trouble was, the video game consoles' abilities weren't as fully realized as gamers' football fantasies, so hardcore gamers had to make do with what was there. To try to generate excitement, the creators of this one insisted it featured "all the excitement" of actual football. With an open path to the end zone, this is what the number one console in the day scored a touchdown with. Those guys on the playing field sure couldn't pass for actual football players. There's no getting around that one You think that photo looks limited, you should see the gameplay itself. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. The sound effects were just brutal. And worse, the screen didn't even scroll. Within a couple years, things would pick up slightly, with a competing console developing a football video game. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. Better, but not great. The video game world was certainly jazzed when that was released, but it wasn't exactly the gold standard. That wouldn't come until several years down the line. This next one, coming out for the next generation of game consoles at the end of the 80s, was a sensation, and still beloved today. For many years, this was the greatest football video game.

Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Graphics and sound were vastly improved, so for many years, this was the video football game. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. But even that one can't compete with PS3 Madden 10. Once you've viewed all the other games, have a gander at PS3 Madden 10. As you can see, football video games have evolved exponentially since their first appearance. No need to keep bagging on the old stuff. We've made our point. Those games did what needed to be done, and we have them to thank, indirectly, for PS3 Madden 10. Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. And of course, the critics are equally enthusiastic about PS3 Madden 10, which is even more good news for fans of the franchise. Anytime you read a PS3 Madden 10 review, you'll see things like "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise.

There's no debating it - PS3 Madden 10 is an all-time great sports video game. Not to disparage the other PlayStation sports video games - they're all pretty excellent in their own right, but PS3 Madden rules the playing field. In the video game world, PS3 football games begin and end with Madden. Along with its major popularity, this is also where you get to battle for bucks. Now, PlayStation Madden 10 fans can go toe-to-toe and play video games for money. Once you do your homework and study the playbook, you'll be in the end zone scoring points and making your rivals weep as you empty out their bank accounts.
